Author Visit
On Monday, November 17, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be attending a presentation by Houston author, Ellen Leventhal (Don't Eat the Bluebonnets) and illustrator, Bill Megenhardt during their ancillary period.
Ellen Leventhal and Bill Megenhardt will talk about:
* Cause and effect reading strategy lesson using the book Don't Eat the Bluebonnets.
* The six traits of writing and collaborative writing.
* The writing process: From Brainstorm to Book.
Illustrator Bill Megenhardt will also show some of his work and demonstrate how he begins the illustration process with help from the students.
